As a Senior Analyst within the Delegated Authority Management team for Canopius UK Operations, you will support the assurance process for delegated authority partners including Coverholders, Delegated Claims Administrators (DCAs), and Product Partners. You will contribute to onboarding, contract reviews, and ongoing oversight activities, ensuring compliance with Canopius Delegated Underwriting and Claims policies. You will support underwriters in the growth of the delegated book by facilitating effective onboarding and renewal processes, providing technical advice and identifying compliant solutions, collaborating with wording specialists, Coverholder and internal SMEs, including Complaints and Conduct teams, to ensure alignment and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for completion of due diligence and submission of new applications to Lloyd’s, including UK, EEA, and International Coverholders, DCAs and Product Partners.
  • Conduct technical risk assessment reviews, ensuring partners meet required standards.
  • Support underwriting and claims teams with delegated authority queries and approval processes.
  • Perform pre- and post-bind reviews for binders, line slips, master policies, and consortia to ensure procedural and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in bespoke applications where deep knowledge of delegated authority is essential.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Compliance, Operational Resilience, and Cyber Security to ensure effective oversight.
  • Engage with complaints and conduct teams to ensure alignment with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and elevate relevant updates to the DA Assurance Manager.
  • Oversee junior analysts, provide support in DA Assurance Manager’s absence and contribute to team development.
  • Deputise for the DA Assurance Manager as needed and directed.
  • Prepare data and insights for internal reporting packs.
  • Collaborate with wording specialists in new contract negotiations and coverholder arrangements.
  • Contribute to the review of DCA Master Agreements.
  • Maintain quality and consistency in contract checks through peer reviews.
  • Participate in internal change projects and systems testing as a business SME.
  • Use Lloyd’s systems including Atlas, DCOM, and Insights Hub to support registration and compliance activities.

  • Solid understanding of delegated underwriting and claims authority practices, ideally within the Lloyd’s market.
  • Ability to provide technical expertise and guidance on DA business processes.
  • Familiarity with Coverholder and DCA onboarding processes.
