Canonical is a leading open‑source technology company that develops and distributes the Ubuntu operating system and a wide range of cloud, AI, IoT, and data‑science solutions. As a 1200+‑person global team, we operate in a fully distributed environment with occasional in‑person sprints for strategy and collaboration. We are expanding our sales and field engineering teams and are looking for an SDR Team Manager to lead high‑performing inbound and outbound teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of 2‑10 SDRs/BDRs, fostering a culture of high integrity, empathy, and continuous learning.
  • Maintain and grow a multi‑million dollar pipeline of qualified leads through both inbound and outbound initiatives.
  • Drive outbound sales development, experimenting with new approaches to adapt to market changes.
  • Use data and metrics to inform team activities, set goals, and enable continuous improvement.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to develop and refine sales processes and product knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Excellent academic results at school and university.
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Business or STEM.
  • Knowledge and passion for business development, sales and technology.
  • Track record of delivering exceptional outbound sales development results.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement – curious, flexible, scientific.
  • Creative problem solving and cross‑team collaboration.
