Product managers advance the community, push technology, and bring products to new opportunities. They discuss strategy, plan product development, drive engagement, and promote the open‑source way. They oversee the entire product lifecycle, blending technical expertise, strategic thinking, analytics, project‑management and communication to meet user and business objectives.

- Cloud – Ubuntu in public and private clouds, automation frameworks, Kubernetes, MAAS, LXD
- Finance – Open‑source solutions for financial institutions such as trading platforms, blockchain, regulatory compliance, AI‑driven analytics
- Automotive – Open‑source solutions for autonomous driving, in‑vehicle infotainment, connected vehicles and compliance with ISO 26262 & ISO 21434
- Application Management – Observability, IAM, App Stores and technologies such as Grafana, GitOps and Juju Charms
Location: Home‑based within the EMEA time zone.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the product development lifecycle, reviewing priorities and goals
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing and sales
- Address common challenges, align priorities and enable informed decisions
- Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, gather customer feedback to identify opportunities
- Communicate product vision, status updates and key decisions to keep alignment and manage expectations
- Conduct usability testing, analyze user feedback and iterate to improve the experience
- Collaborate with marketing, sales and support teams to develop go‑to‑market strategies, create product documentation, provide training
- Contribute to the success of our sales team in winning new opportunities, review customer feedback, and participate in customer meetings
- Oversee the work of a product line, ensuring consistency in strategy and execution across different teams
- Facilitate collaboration and resolve conflicts within departments
What We Are Looking For:
- Exceptional academic results at high school and university
- Understanding of Linux and the wider open‑source software community
- Understanding of computer architecture, application development, datacenters, cloud or devices

- Willingness to travel internationally up to four times a year for company events up to two weeks long

- Familiarity with a particular vertical (e.g. Telco, Finance, Industrial, Automotive)
- Familiarity with the technology ecosystem including Silicon, IHV, ISV, ODM/OEMs, cloud service providers and channel

- Familiarity with embedded and connected device technology and ecosystems

- Experience in leading distributed teams across different time zones
