We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing team. Our Finance team is growing and it’s a really exciting time to join the team. We are looking for bright, truly motivated people who have a passion for making a difference. Your role will include:

  • Ensuring accuracy of the A/P ledgers
  • Processing supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Preparing supplier payments
  • Dealing with queries effectively and efficiently
  • Maintaining compliance with processes and procedures

You will learn the fundamentals of how finance works in an organisation. You will report directly to our Global Controller who will help you develop into the role and guide you through your learnings.

A day in the life of an Accounts Payable Clerk includes:

  • Maintaining accuracy of our A/P ledgers and reconciliation of accounts
  • Managing our vendor data (names, addresses, etc.), validating and gaining approval for new accounts, and maintaining our audit record of vendor data changes and approvals
  • Processing our supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner, including entry of invoices into accounting systems and maintaining our files in a tidy and organised manner
  • Preparing our supplier payments in line with the payments timetable and presenting for approval in a clear and organised format
  • Identifying payments properly withheld, monitored and released when approval given
  • Helping with our month end processes: prepayments, accruals, bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Resolving questions/issues, escalating when appropriate in a timely manner
  • Maintaining compliance with processes and procedures, recommending corrective action when identified and maintaining suitable records to demonstrate compliance
