Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Applications (e Commerce) Consultant to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering world-class digital commerce solutions; with a deep expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud and/or Oracle Commerce Cloud you will drive the design, implementation, and governance of end-to-end e Commerce platforms that support business growth and innovation.
In this high-impact role, you will work at the intersection of business and technology, translating complex requirements into scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.
You will lead solution architecture and delivery, partner with senior stakeholders as a trusted advisor, and ensure seamless integration with critical enterprise systems.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end e Commerce solutions using Oracle Commerce Cloud:
- Customise OCC storefronts, integrations, and APIs to meet business needs.
- Integrate OCC or Salesforce with third-party systems such as ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and marketing tools.
- Gather/produce business process requirements and convert these into solution requirements across Process, Data, and Technology.
- Translate solution requirements into solution designs directed by Solution Control.
- Assess the impact of the IT solution with the Business applications to provide and verify estimates on effort, costs and timelines for project proposals.
- Translate the IT functional designs to IT solutions by the team.
- Advice on any solution risks to direct related test plans. Follow and protect the design principles, such as no customizations, design for flexibility.
- Drive the delivery and implementation of the resulting IT solutions in the business.
- Act as Functional Solution Guardian – Manage functional template boundaries (data, process, technology) and agree deviations with Solution Control.
- Advice stakeholders with expertise on best fitting process/IT solutions to guide requirement specifications and minimize package customizations.

Drive Change Management and Adoption to ensure benefits are realised
- Leading change management/ user adoption of the solution, by providing expertise and good practices including good understanding of specific BU/function e2e business process.
- Drive BU/ Function stakeholders to put in place key metrics (to be tracked by PMO) to give leadership visibility and insight into the usage and adoption of the platform.
- End to end oversight to ensure that new features are adopted appropriately.
- Highlight any early warning signs that could lead to lost value and work on mitigation actions with BU/function
Provide production support
- With good understanding of domain business process - review and approve all application changes resulting from problem management assessing business risk and impact
- Participate in incident analysis and problem resolution where expertise is required and / or where the issues are complex or impact multiple processes (3rd line consultancy and 4th line resolution).
- Participate in trend analysis of all incidents and Root Cause Analysis of Major/Top incidents
- Drive resulting improvements preventing reoccurrence by either technical refactoring that can be absorbed in project releases or propose changes for budget approval.
- Drive Compliancy controls for the delivery of applications with evidence:
- Zero deficiency target.
- Adhere to IT General Control (ITGC) & IT Application Control (ITAC) process / Execution.
- Assess the materiality of any related Deficiency incident and ensure implementation of mitigation and remediation. Ensure the correct production and collation of evidence.
- Apply data migration, release management, and SOD/UAM controls.
Provide consultancy on the ownership of controls and support the testing of these controls to IT Operations as require:
- Contribute and adhere to solutioning policies, principles and standards.
- Contribute to the Domains and Communities of Practice. Maintain the IT knowledge base of the Domain (baseline documentation).
- Develop project leadership and management skills within team.
- Serve as best practice/quality resource within Domain, guide team members in resolving complex issues, train/mentor junior team members.
Qualifications
- Education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field. Masters Degree is a plus.
- Significant experience in working with Oracle Commerce Cloud(OCC) or Salesforce Commerce Cloud (or similar e Commerce platforms).
- Excellent IT delivery skills.
- Good knowledge and experience in IT Operations and Compliance
- Working experience in managing business during change management and rollout of projects
- Adept at creating and transforming business requirements into functional requirements and designs.
- Exceptional problem solving and sound decision making capabilities, recognised by alternative solutions, and confident, accurate, decision-making coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of and experience with best practice methodologies
