Overview

In this role you drive corporate communications for Canon EMEA, shaping internal and external messaging to align with the corporate narrative and governance. You partner with senior stakeholders to deliver integrated strategies across channels, strengthening brand reputation and employee engagement. You’ll manage reputation, thought leadership and change communications at scale, collaborating across a matrix organisation. Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver the Regional Sales Headquarters (RHSQ) and EMEA-wide internal communications programme aligned to business priorities and culture
  • Develop strategic communications plans and audience engagement approaches translating complex information into clear, impactful content
  • Create leadership communications, announcements, change communications, executive briefings, Q&As and internal campaigns
  • Provide expert guidance to leaders, HR and functions on employee engagement, change programmes and recognition initiatives
  • Lead communications support for employee engagement events (Kick Off Programme, Town Halls, webinars) and internal campaigns
  • Develop and implement external communications initiatives (corporate storytelling, media engagement, thought leadership, web content)
  • Produce high-quality media materials ensuring accuracy and reputational soundness
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies on brand storytelling for products, sustainability and IT security
  • Monitor and evaluate communications engagement and channel performance to drive improvements
  • Manage and optimise internal channels (Miru, EMEA News, Viva, digital signage) including editorial planning
  • Build stakeholder relationships across business units and external partners to ensure impactful programmes
  • Share knowledge and best practices as a communications SME across the function
  • Analyse channel performance and audience feedback to inform governance and ways of working

Key requirements

  • 5+ years in corporate/internal communications, public relations or related discipline
  • Experience developing and implementing cross-channel communication strategies
  • Experience supporting corporate reputation, employee engagement and change communications
  • Strong writing, editing and presentation skills with knowledge of digital channels and analytics
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft 365; ability to work in a matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders and external agencies
