We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented E-Commerce Copywriter to write and manage the creation of copy content for the EMEA E-commerce sites that drives conversions and enhances the online shopping experience. You’ll collaborate with marketing, legal, and design teams to ensure brand consistency and SEO best practices across all digital touchpoints.

Salary: between £37,931 and £44,625 dependent on experience plus 10% bonus.

What we ask
- Write clear, concise and accurate product copy that not only reflects a strong awareness of what the customer needs to know, but demonstrates credible brand and product knowledge whilst maintaining the Canon tone of voice.
- Proofread copy content produced across the department (including freelance writers’ work), to ensure consistency and adherence to brand voice guidelines.
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders- consulting Product Marketing, Legal, IP and Environmental teams as appropriate
- Upload all approved copy on to the e-commerce and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems. Edit copy content directly on the e-commerce platform, as needed.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to work, showing initiative, suggesting ideas to continuously improve the quality of product copy and increase efficiencies within the team and department.
- Generate ideas for and produce engaging editorial content.
- Work with freelance copywriters- briefing and reviewing their work.
- Work with in-house designers to write engaging copy within defined character length limits.
You will need
- A keen writer with media or journalism qualifications or equivalent relevent experience
- Extensive experience in copywriting. Writing for e-commerce sites would be advantageous
- Strong creative writing skills and ability to adopt and develop the brand tone of voice
- Experience of producing brand voice guidelines
- Excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
- Some experience of working with content management and e-commerce systems. Training will be provided
- Experience of working alongside designers to produce copy content within defined character counts
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders such as Product teams, Legal, IP and Environmental teams
- Proven experience of the generation of ideas for, and creation of, engaging editorial content
- An interest in photography would be advantageous
- Experience of working in a multi-cultural team
- Basic knowledge of HTML will be advantageous
