About the Ministry of Women and Child Development: The Ministry of Women and Child Development, a branch of the Government of India, is an apex body for formulation and administration of rules and regulations and laws relating to women and child development in India.
About the Internship: The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) invites applications from women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers enrolled in or associated with any university, academic, or non-academic institution for pilot projects or micro-studies focusing on the Ministry’s activities.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be women students, scholars, social activists, or teachers from Non-Tier I cities and rural parts of India.
- Applicants must be enrolled in or associated with any university, academic, or non-academic institution.
- Applicants must be aged 21 to 40 years.
Stipend: Selected interns receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 20,000. Reimbursement of travel costs (by deluxe/AC bus or 3‑Tier AC train) for joining the programme and return at the end of the programme is provided. Hostels on a sharing basis are also provided for the duration of the programme in Delhi.
Duration and Batches: The internship programme will be offered in four terms throughout the financial year: May–June, August–September, November–December, and February–March. Each term lasts two months.

No of Seats: Up to 20 interns per batch.
Last Date to Apply: December 10. Applications can be submitted between the 1st and 10th of the month two months prior to the start of each term (e.g. 1st–10th March for May–June, 1st–10th June for August–September, etc.).
Application Procedure: Prospective interns must submit applications online on the Internship Programme portal. Once selected, an intern is not eligible to apply for any subsequent term.
