Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage the legal infrastructure for Deel’s global payments operations
- Provide strategic legal guidance on payments products, regulatory obligations, and licensing
- Act as the key legal partner to product and compliance teams, embedding risk management into innovation
- Create and maintain scalable legal and compliance processes
- Monitor and interpret global legal and regulatory developments impacting payments
- Support the international movement of employees for business travel
- Collaborate with external counsel and cross-regional internal teams
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of legal experience, with at least 1–2 years in payments, fintech, lending, or banking
- JD, LLB, LLM, or equivalent legal qualification
