Sujata Chaudhri IP Attorneys is seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney for the position of a Principal Associate who will head up our trademark and copyright practice (non-contentious).
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of non-contentious trade mark and copyright prosecution, including:
- Strategic advice on availability of marks for registration and use
- Risk assessment
- Advisory work on trade marks and copyrights
- Trade mark and copyright filings
- Responding to objections
- Hearings at the Trade Mark Registry and Copyright Office
- Portfolio management in India
Eligibility: Senior Associate (Trademarks and Copyright) with 4–5 years of PQE in trademark opposition, prosecution, and enforcement. Candidates should have hands-on experience with:
- Oppositions
- Cancellations
- Responses to office-action
- Hearings
- Settlements
- Enforcement strategy
Strong advisory and drafting skills are essential. Candidates with experience in reviewing documents and opinions, and who can handle day-to-day client deliverables fairly independently, will be given preference.
