About the Internship

The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) invites applications from women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers enrolled in or associated with any university, academic, or non-academic institution for pilot projects or micro-studies focusing on the Ministry’s activities.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be women students, scholars, social activists, or teachers from Non-Tier I cities and rural parts of India.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in or associated with any university, academic, or non-academic institution.
  • Applicants must be aged 21 to 40 years.

Stipend

Selected interns receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 20,000. Reimbursement of travel costs (by deluxe/AC bus or 3‑Tier AC train) for joining the programme and return at the end of the programme is provided. Hostels on a sharing basis are also provided for the duration of the programme in Delhi.

Duration and Batches

The internship programme will be offered in four terms throughout the financial year: May–June, August–September, November–December, and February–March. Each term lasts two months.
