How to prepare for a job interview at Canon Sphere

Know Your Case Inside Out

Before the interview, make sure you thoroughly understand the case you're working on. Familiarise yourself with the legal principles involved, the arguments for both sides, and any relevant statutes or precedents. This will not only boost your confidence but also impress the interviewers with your depth of knowledge.

Practice Your Oral Arguments

Oral advocacy is key in moot court competitions. We recommend practising your arguments out loud, ideally in front of peers or mentors who can provide constructive feedback. This will help you refine your delivery and ensure you can articulate your points clearly and persuasively during the actual competition.

Dress to Impress

First impressions matter, especially in a formal setting like a moot court. Adhere to the prescribed dress code and opt for professional attire that reflects your seriousness about the competition. A polished appearance can enhance your confidence and show the judges that you respect the process.

Engage with the Judges

During the oral rounds, remember that the judges are there to assess your skills, but they also appreciate engagement. Make eye contact, respond thoughtfully to their questions, and don’t hesitate to ask for clarification if needed. This interaction can demonstrate your ability to think on your feet and engage in legal discourse.
