About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Manager to lead day-to-day legal functions including contracts, compliance, and risk advisory. The ideal candidate is commercially astute, well-versed in regulatory frameworks, and comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, tech-enabled business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, vet, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts (MSAs, SaaS agreements, NDAs, vendor agreements, etc.). Collaborate with business and sales teams to close deals efficiently while mitigating legal risk.
- Legal Advisory & Risk Management: Provide actionable legal advice on regulatory compliance and business operations. Proactively identify legal risks and suggest practical solutions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Keep abreast of changes in laws affecting fintech, telecom, data privacy, and employment. Help interpret regulatory updates and revise internal policies as needed.
- Policy Development & Documentation: Assist in drafting and maintaining internal legal policies, SOPs, and contract templates. Ensure documentation is version-controlled and accessible.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Manage the central contract repository. Oversee renewals, track obligations, and ensure closure.
- Legal Coordination & Litigation Support: Coordinate with external legal counsel on litigation, intellectual property, and compliance issues. Support internal audits, investigations, and other legal reviews.
Candidate Requirements
- Law degree with 5–8 years of experience in corporate legal roles.
- Prior experience in SaaS, BPO, or tech-driven sectors is preferred.
- Strong command of Indian contract law, employment law, and IT/DPDP regulations.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and legal operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
