KPMG’s Legal & Compliance team plays a critical role in helping organizations manage regulatory risks, improve operational performance, and ensure adherence to governance frameworks. With growing regulatory scrutiny, organizations increasingly require guidance beyond traditional audits — extending to legal and process risk assessments, compliance strategies, and internal control evaluations. Role Responsibilities
- Demonstrating strong knowledge in Legal and Compliance areas, including labor laws, health and safety regulations, secretarial compliance, finance laws, and industry-specific legislation.
- Performing compliance risk assessments, reviews, and audits, with the ability to identify and mitigate sector-specific compliance risks.
- Designing and developing compliance checklists, manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
- Supporting or managing compliance tool implementations for multiple clients and monitoring usage on their behalf.
- Staying updated with changes in statutory and regulatory requirements and promoting best practices in compliance controls.
- Managing multiple client projects, handling team responsibilities, addressing client escalations, and serving as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC).
- Preparing and presenting comprehensive reports for senior management and clients.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams across the organization for effective project delivery.
