The firm is looking to recruit an Associate for its Patents (Electrical/Electronics/CS/ICT) team. This role is intended for legal professionals with a technical background who can navigate the intersection of law and technology, specifically in patent prosecution and advisory.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in Patent Law.
- Specialization: Strong background in Patents, specifically within the Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or ICT sectors.
- Skills: Expertise in patent drafting, filing, and prosecution. Ability to handle technical complexities, conduct prior art searches, and respond to examination reports.
- Professionalism: High level of precision, technical proficiency, and the ability to work within a specialized, high-performing team.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Patent Prosecution: Handling the end-to-end patent lifecycle, including drafting specifications and filing patent applications.
- Technical Analysis: Reviewing technical disclosures in the fields of electronics, CS, and ICT to determine patentability.
- Advisory: Providing legal opinions on patent infringement, freedom-to-operate (FTO), and patentability reports.
- Reporting: Drafting responses to First Examination Reports (FERs) and attending hearings before the Patent Office.
