About the Internship
The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) is inviting applications from women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers enrolled in or associated with any university, academic, or non-academic institution under the ‘Internship Programmes of the Ministry. The candidates willing to undertake pilot projects or micro-studies focusing on the ongoing activities of the Ministry may apply through the portal of this Ministry. The Ministry provides qualitative exposure to its mandate and also has specific programmes and policy analysis at the hands of the target group to make them proactive in raising the issues of women and children on various platforms in the future.
Eligibility
- Applications are invited from women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers from Non-Tier I cities and rural parts of India.
- Aspiring candidates for the Internship Programme need to be enrolled in or associated with any university, academic, or non-academic institution.
- Candidates from the age group 21-40 years may send their applications.
Stipend
- Selected interns would be granted a lump sum stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per month.
- Reimbursement of travel costs (by deluxe / AC bus / 3 Tier AC train) for the journey to join the programme in the Ministry and return at the end of the programme.
- Willing interns would be provided with hostel facilities on a sharing basis for the duration of their Programme in Delhi.
Duration and Batches
The internship programme will be offered in four distinct terms throughout the financial year: May-June, August-September, November-December, and February-March, each with a duration of two months.

October 10. The applications can be submitted two months prior to the start of the internship, between 1st and 10th of the month (e.g. 1st -10th March for May-June, 1st -10th June for August-September etc.).

Prospective interns are required to submit their applications online on the Internship Programme portal. Any candidate once selected for the internship shall not be eligible to apply for any subsequent term.
