Applications are now open for a special two-month internship opportunity offered by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, exclusively for women students, researchers, teachers, and social activists from non-Tier I cities and rural India. This initiative aims to familiarize interns with key government policies and programs related to women and children.

Selected participants will be expected to engage in micro-studies, pilot projects, and research-based assignments that align with the Ministry’s focus areas. The experience is designed to empower women to advocate more effectively for social issues across various platforms.

Who Can Apply?

  • Women currently enrolled in or affiliated with academic or non-academic institutions
  • Scholars, educators, and activists from non-metro areas or rural India

Selection Criteria

Interns will be shortlisted by a dedicated Selection Committee. The list of selected candidates will be published on the Internship Portal under the ‘Downloads’ section. Note: Candidates who have previously interned under this program are not eligible to reapply.

Stipend and Benefits

Each selected intern will receive:

  • A monthly stipend of ₹20,000
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses (via Deluxe/AC Bus or 3-Tier AC Train)
  • Optional hostel accommodation in Delhi with shared rooms and basic facilities (mattress not included)
