Job Role
- Provide legal guidance on corporate governance and ensure alignment with statutory and regulatory obligations at all levels.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, including due diligence and contract structuring.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts such as supply agreements, distribution deals, manufacturing contracts, and leases.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to monitor and implement laws related to advertising, packaging, and product labeling.
- Manage intellectual property matters including trademarks, copyrights, and patents, especially concerning branding and packaging.
- Advise on consumer protection, data privacy laws, and other legal matters affecting sales, marketing, and distribution.
- Support HR in employment law-related matters such as contracts, policy compliance, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate with external counsel on specialized legal issues and oversee legal expenditure.
- Assist in formulating internal policies to maintain full legal and regulatory compliance.
- Keep abreast of legal updates in the corporate and FMCG sectors and adapt internal processes proactively.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- 2–6 years of experience in corporate legal roles, preferably within the FMCG or consumer goods space.
