About the Internship
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is inviting applications for its Law Internship Scheme – 2025. This program aims to engage 30 law students from recognized Indian law universities/institutes for an internship that provides exposure to the workings of the agency. Interns will work closely with CBI officers in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Bangalore, contributing to legal research and assisting in the collection and analysis of internal data. This opportunity will give law students valuable insight into investigative procedures, legal frameworks, and the inner functioning of India’s premier investigative agency.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be Indian citizens
- Must be currently enrolled in a law degree program from a recognized university/institute
- For 5-year integrated LL.B. students: Should have completed or be pursuing at least the 8th semester
- For 3-year LL.B. students: Should have completed or be pursuing at least the 4th semester
Internship Terms & Conditions
- Unpaid Internship: No stipend or financial support for accommodation or travel will be provided
- Medical Facilities: Not provided by CBI
- Employment: This internship does not guarantee future employment with the agency
Intern Duties
- Legal research
- Preparation of legal documents
- Assisting in court matters
- Gathering and analyzing legal data
- Supporting trial work
- Any other tasks assigned by senior officers
Confidentiality
Interns must sign an Oath of Secrecy, which remains binding even after completion of the internship.
Duration
Internship will last between 3 to 6 months.
