Job Description

Singh Law Chambers LLP is inviting applications for the roles of Junior Associates and Associates to strengthen its litigation and corporate practice teams. Selected candidates will work on diverse assignments involving civil litigation, Section 138 NI Act cases, Lok Adalat proceedings, corporate legal matters, and recovery proceedings. The position involves active participation in legal drafting, research, court appearances, and client advisory. Candidates will be expected to take on full‑time responsibilities and collaborate with senior lawyers to prepare court documents, manage filings, and contribute to strategic case planning. This role offers significant exposure to both courtroom practice and corporate law advisory.

Number of Vacancies

There are two positions currently available at the firm. The limited number of openings ensures that selected candidates will have access to hands‑on mentorship, direct interaction with senior partners, and substantial case involvement. With this focused intake, the firm aims to maintain quality over quantity, ensuring that every team member can contribute meaningfully and develop a comprehensive understanding of both litigation and corporate work. This also allows for personalized growth plans and targeted professional development for each recruit.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a law degree from a recognised institution. A post‑qualification experience (PQE) of 1–2 years in areas such as civil litigation, Section 138 NI Act matters, recovery proceedings, and Lok Adalat cases will be an added advantage. Proficiency in legal research using national and international databases like Manupatra, SCC Online, Webster, and JSTOR is essential. Experience in corporate legal matters and the ability to travel for outstation cases are also important. Strong command over English and Hindi, along with punctuality, professional focus, and dedication to the legal profession, are key attributes sought. Immediate joiners will be given preference.

Responsibilities

The role requires conducting in‑depth legal research, drafting legal documents, and attending court proceedings for civil, Section 138 NI Act, and Lok Adalat cases. Associates will also assist in court filings, prepare case briefs, write legal reports, and handle other responsibilities as required. The position demands close coordination with senior lawyers and clients to ensure accurate and timely completion of assignments. A proactive approach to case preparation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously will be crucial for success in this role. The work will involve both courtroom representation and behind‑the‑scenes case management.

Salary

The remuneration for these positions will be in line with prevailing industry standards, ensuring fair compensation for the candidate’s skills, experience, and professional contribution. The firm’s salary structure is designed to reward commitment, performance, and the ability to handle complex legal assignments. In addition to financial remuneration, the role offers immense learning opportunities, professional growth, and exposure to high‑profile matters, which contribute significantly to long‑term career development.
