Position Overview: The role is for a Paralegal – Construction (Contentious), offering an excellent opportunity for a junior legal professional to gain hands‑on experience in complex construction disputes. The position sits within the Construction, Engineering & Procurement team and provides exposure to adjudication, arbitration, and court proceedings, with clear progression pathways into training contracts.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supporting solicitors on complex construction disputes across litigation and ADR processes
- Assisting with case management, including deadlines, filings, and coordination with courts and tribunals
- Drafting legal documents and client correspondence (payments, defects, extensions of time, etc.)
- Liaising with clients, barristers, and technical experts
- Assisting in adjudications, arbitrations, and Technology and Construction Court (TCC) matters
- Conducting legal and regulatory research (including building safety and fire legislation)
- Contributing to client updates and thought leadership content
Eligibility:
- Undergraduate law degree (essential)
- Strong interest in construction law and the built environment sector
- Prior litigation paralegal experience (desirable but not mandatory)
