Position Overview: The role is for a Paralegal – Construction (Contentious), offering an excellent opportunity for a junior legal professional to gain hands‑on experience in complex construction disputes. The position sits within the Construction, Engineering & Procurement team and provides exposure to adjudication, arbitration, and court proceedings, with clear progression pathways into training contracts.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting solicitors on complex construction disputes across litigation and ADR processes
  • Assisting with case management, including deadlines, filings, and coordination with courts and tribunals
  • Drafting legal documents and client correspondence (payments, defects, extensions of time, etc.)
  • Liaising with clients, barristers, and technical experts
  • Assisting in adjudications, arbitrations, and Technology and Construction Court (TCC) matters
  • Conducting legal and regulatory research (including building safety and fire legislation)
  • Contributing to client updates and thought leadership content

Eligibility:

  • Undergraduate law degree (essential)
  • Strong interest in construction law and the built environment sector
  • Prior litigation paralegal experience (desirable but not mandatory)
