Position Overview: The firm is seeking a Paralegal for its Public Law & Human Rights Department. The role involves supporting up to three qualified lawyers within a team consisting of partners, solicitors, and associates. The work primarily includes judicial review, public law matters, and select planning and environmental cases. There is potential consideration for a future training contract through an internal process.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Handle new client enquiries and assist in case preparation
- Manage file administration and documentation
- Prepare and manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency
- Conduct legal research and analyse complex information
- Draft witness statements, schedules, and aspects of legal advice
- Process and organise evidence and case materials
- Prepare, collate, and manage legal documentation
- Attend client conferences, court hearings, and counsel meetings
Eligibility:
