Position Overview: The firm is recruiting a Paralegal for its Legal Services Management team in Newcastle. This role offers exposure to high-value global legal work across corporate, banking, and disputes practices. The position is designed for individuals who are curious, proactive, and eager to contribute to complex, multi-jurisdictional legal matters while developing expertise in a global legal environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in corporate transactions including M&A, IPOs, and due diligence processes
- Review contracts and corporate documentation
- Draft and manage legal documents such as board minutes, shareholder circulars, and tender forms
- Support dispute resolution and investigations, including document review, disclosure management, and court bundle preparation
- Take notes during witness interviews and prepare summaries
- Assist in banking transactions, including drafting conditions precedent checklists and ancillary documents
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including clients, counsel, and international teams
- Manage virtual data rooms and documentation processes
- Engage with legal technology tools, including generative AI, under supervision
Eligibility:
- Undergraduate degree completed or in progress
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of computer literacy, including openness to legal tech and AI tools
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and in teams
- Adaptability to dynamic work environments and international time zones
