- Possesses excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records and reports
- Is able to manage a varied workload, prioritise effectively, and work under pressure
- Demonstrate resilience, professionalism and sound judgement when dealing with sensitive and complex situations
- Works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team while also being able to work independently
- Values diversity, inclusion, and equality, and is committed to supporting the needs of all children and families
- Is proactive in their professional development and committed to maintaining up-to-date safeguarding knowledge and practice.
YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:
Primary purpose of the job is to work under the direction of the school Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL):
- To act as first point of contact and co-ordinate the response to Child Protection Issues.
- To access support for children and families who are deemed to be vulnerable.
- To manage a case load of our most vulnerable children and families and monitor and evaluate the impact of support.
