Salary: Grade 4, £18,067 - £18,944 per annum (£13.26 - £13.90 per hour)

Hours: 31.25 hours per week, term time, 38 weeks per year

Position: Permanent

Start Date: 1 September 2026

The Governing Body of Canon Sharples invites applications for the post of Level 3 Cover Supervisor to work across the school. The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of the educational needs of children.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise prepared learning activities in the short term/unplanned absence of the teacher
  • Communicate to pupils the work set by the teacher
  • Feedback to pupils and the class teacher
  • Promote the social and emotional wellbeing of our children
  • Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times
  • Work as a TA under the direction of the teacher supporting pupils in class when not required for cover duty

Flexibility is essential. This position is subject to Enhanced Disclosure Procedures and child barred list check.
