Are you looking to develop into Management while maintaining and sharing your Project Management skills and knowledge? Work in a team that values and implements a defined project management methodology to ensure project success (Predominantly Prince2 at Canon).

We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Team Leader to join our team at Canon. As a Team Leader, you will be solely responsible for planning, organising, and overseeing projects from initiation to completion, while also managing others in the Project Office to support their development and build a capable high performing Project Office. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about project management and people management, and who are eager to develop their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing a group of Junior Project Managers and Project Supports, coaching them to deliver excellent projects with the skills and knowledge you have built from a successful Project Management Career.
  • Delivering your own projects to maintain your skills and first-hand exposure to project delivery, enabling you to improve processes and better support the team.
  • Maintaining your own development.

As a Project Office Team Leader, you will possess the following skills and expertise:

  • Experience working in a Project Office as a Project Manager, with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer experience.
  • Ideally experience managing a team.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills, with the ability to manage project members assertively and politely to drive tasks and actions.
  • Ambitious and driven, with a desire to work in a high performing team and a focus on personal KPIs and results.
  • Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects and your team.
  • Project Management training – ideally Prince2 Practitioner.
