Ready to design exceptional digital experiences? Canon Europe is looking for a Senior UX-UI Designer to lead the user experience and interface design of our B2C eCommerce platform. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end design process, from user research and prototyping to high-fidelity UI design and optimisation, ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive conversion rate improvements, and mentor junior designers, all while contributing to Canon’s commitment to innovation and user-centered design.
As UX-UI Senior Specialist your main responsibilities are:
- Lead UX/UI Design Projects: Drive the end-to-end design process, from research and discovery to prototyping, testing, and final execution. Ensure our B2C eCommerce platform is intuitive, engaging, and optimised for all users.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Guide and support junior designers through knowledge-sharing sessions and design retrospectives. Promote best practices and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product managers, developers, and business teams to align design with business goals and user needs. Partner with IT to address UI design queries, support UAT testing, and ensure seamless integration of design elements. Collaborate with UX/UI colleagues from other business units & shared functions to improve our overall digital user experience.
- User Research & Data-Driven Design: Conduct user research, including moderated and unmoderated testing, card sorting, information architecture assessments, and interviews. Analyse user feedback to inform design improvements and enhance customer engagement.
- Prototype and Design Execution: Develop detailed wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI mock-ups using tools like Adobe XD and Figma. Ensure designs are accessible, responsive, and optimised for various devices.
- Design System Development: Own, maintain, and evolve Canon’s B2C eCommerce design system to ensure consistency and efficiency across digital products. Document standards and workflows for cross-team clarity and alignment.

We’re searching for a skilled Senior UX/UI Designer who brings:
- Experience & Expertise: 5+ years in UX/UI design with a strong focus on B2C eCommerce or customer-facing digital products. Proven experience leading projects and mentoring designers. Background in Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO), using A/B testing and data analysis to drive design decisions. Experience working on websites in multiple languages.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe XD, Figma and other industry-standard tools. Understanding of Google Analytics, ContentSquare, and user testing methodologies. Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus (but not required).
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to leverage data insights to inform design improvements. Experience defining UX metrics and advocating for data-driven design decisions.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas to senior stakeholders. Ability to influence product roadmaps and advocate for user-centered design.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field. A Master’s degree or additional UX/UI or Design Thinking certifications is a plus.
