At Canon Europe, we are looking for a highly organised and commercially minded Corporate PMO Governance Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing our IT change portfolio. Responsibilities

  • Manage PMO activities supporting demand collection, portfolio management, project approvals, status tracking, and benefits realisation across IT initiatives.
  • Support the successful end‑to‑end delivery of the IT change portfolio through robust governance and reporting processes.
  • Ensure PMO processes and tools are consistently applied and effectively communicated across teams.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and coaching to project and programme teams on PMO processes, standards, and tools.
  • Partner with stakeholders to review and update business cases, project proposals, and governance materials.
  • Continuously review PMO processes and management information systems, implementing improvements based on feedback and business needs.
  • Assist with the review and enhancement of processes and procedures impacting the project and change environment.
  • Produce accurate and timely portfolio reporting covering project progress, risk, status, and financial performance.
  • Manage and maintain consolidated and detailed project budgets, ensuring financial accuracy and transparency.
  • Deliver data‑driven insights to support portfolio maturity, operational efficiency, and strategic decision‑making.
  • Provide ad‑hoc support for leadership presentations, budget revisions, and project documentation.
  • Design and implement guidelines, templates, and procedures to maintain high‑quality and consistent management information.
  • Stay informed on emerging Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools and industry best practices to support ongoing PMO development.

Qualifications

  • Relevant academic qualifications with demonstrable PMO and project management experience.
  • Significant experience within a PMO environment, including financial and budget management responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of IT project delivery and project lifecycle management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Project, and SharePoint.
  • Experience using Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools.
  • Excellent report writing, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Strong financial awareness, analytical capability, and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem‑solving, planning, and organisational skills.
