Responsibilities

Leading and managing Environmental Protection teams in both Cannock Chase District and Stafford Borough, delivering high quality regulatory responses to a wide variety of settings including statutory nuisance, industrial permitting, contaminated land and air quality. Working with a team of four Principal Officers, each taking lead on a different Environmental Health discipline and playing a key role in shaping delivery of our Environmental Health services.

Essential Requirements

  • A Degree / MSc / Diploma in Environmental Health
  • EHRB Registration or equivalent
  • Significant experience in Environmental Protection including Statutory Nuisance and Industrial Permitting
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to organise and prioritise
  • Assertiveness and ability to work under pressure
  • Investigative and research skills

Desirable Experience

Previous experience of managing a team, devising and implementing projects and a Level 3 Supervisory Management qualification or equivalent vocational experience is desirable.
