About the Role: The Commercial Audit team in Oxford works in the Private Capital space, across a number of sectors leading to a varied and interesting role.

Responsibilities:

  • Making quality second nature: The work that you will do has a major impact on clients and the firm. Our client prides themselves on their high standards and they expect high quality from you. You will constantly strive to push yourself, and the business, further, knowing you’re supported through every stage.
  • Growing the business: You will be expected to support Partners in BD activity as well as being involved in pitches to win work. You will also take opportunities for wider department responsibilities through training initiatives and pitching for new projects.
  • Own your own work: You will oversee audit teams, be a key point of contact for clients, assist audit partners in establishing the audit approach, review audit work papers and ensure that audit files are completed in a timely manner. You will also solve complex technical matters for clients and project manage client work.
  • Be a part of a team: You will be part of a dynamic commercial audit team in Oxford, with people management responsibilities. You will oversee and develop your team to the highest standard, ensuring audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives, while also playing a key role in creating the culture of the office and working across service lines to set the tone of the office.
  • Take responsibility: They will empower you to act as a trusted business adviser to clients. You will be responsible for managing a significant portfolio of audit clients, including experience managing audits of a range of commercial companies from private equity.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA) with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Confidence in managing a large portfolio of audit clients.
  • Experience managing audits for a range of commercial companies, including private equity-backed businesses, large listed entities, and international groups.
  • Responsibility for overseeing and delivering work across a significant portfolio of audit engagements.
