Our client, a growing multinational manufacturer, is hiring a Quality Technician to join its production quality team. The business has a strong reputation for precision work and is looking for someone who takes that as seriously as they do. This is a hands-on inspection role sitting at the heart of the manufacturing process. You will be checking product and assemblies as they move through production, making sure everything meets the specification it was designed to. If something is not right, you are the person who catches it before it goes any further, and that responsibility sits with you from the first inspection to the last.

Day to day you will be:

  • Inspecting sub-assemblies and finished systems, covering both dimensional and electrical checks
  • Reading engineering prints, wiring diagrams and parts lists to understand exactly what good looks like
  • Deciding whether in process and finished assemblies meet the required standard
  • Documenting non-conformances clearly and supporting the corrective action that follows
  • Working alongside production and engineering on continuous improvement, not sitting apart from the shop floor

To do this well you will need:

  • Experience in a manufacturing inspection or quality assurance role, ideally somewhere electro-mechanical or similarly precise
  • Confidence reading engineering drawings and technical documentation without needing everything explained
  • Practical experience with dimensional measurement tools and equipment
  • A working understanding of electrical inspection and testing methods
  • Sharp attention to detail and the confidence to make a call on acceptance or rejection based on the standard in front of you, not the schedule
  • Clear communication, both written and face to face with engineering and production
