Field Sales Manager (Highlands & Islands) | Permanent | Basic £38k - £40k A national distributor is hiring an External Sales Representative to take over a premium territory covering Moray, Inverness and the wider Highlands and Islands.
This isn't a cold start.
You'll inherit a managed portfolio of established independent accounts worth over £1.6m, so the relationships and the revenue are already there.
Your job is to protect them, grow them and win new business across a region where local service and reliability still count for everything.
There's real autonomy on offer.
You set your own pricing, plan your own week and run the patch like it's your own business.
The difference is you'll have the financial backing of a national leader and a dedicated internal team behind you handling orders, admin and logistics, even for the most remote deliveries.
What you'll be doing: Managing and growing a portfolio of independent trade customers across the North Spotting development accounts and turning prospects into lasting partners Planning your journeys around the geography of the Highlands and Islands to maximise time in front of customers Working with the branch team on forecasting and seasonal demand What we're looking for: Proven field sales experience and the discipline to manage a diary, a route and a CRMCommercial acumen, because sales matter but margin matters more A hunter mentality balanced with the patience to build long term accounts The resilience and independence to thrive across a large, rural patch Ideally based within the territory (Aberdeenshire, Moray or the Inverness area)You don't need to know the products inside out.
