Maintenance Fitter | Central Scotland | Permanent | £33k – £36k

Were looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join our clients mobile team, covering sites across Central Scotland. This is a hands-on role where youll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of essential processing plants and equipment.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Conduct planned and reactive mechanical maintenance to keep plant operations running efficiently.
  • Monitor and maintain plant condition and performance, identifying potential issues before they impact production.
  • Carry out breakdown repairs and support the Engineering Manager in achieving key performance targets.
  • Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, crushing, screening, and conveying systems to optimise equipment performance.
  • Maintain high safety standards, following site-specific procedures and best practices.
  • This role operates on a dayshift/backshift rotation (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, Friday backshift until 9pm) with one in five weekends required for overtime cover.

What Were Looking For:

  • Strong mechanical maintenance experience, ideally within an industrial or heavy plant environment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and crushing/screening systems.
  • Ability to fault-find, diagnose issues, and take corrective action.
  • Basic report-writing skills and competence with PC-based systems.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
