A precision engineering business in Tayside is looking for a Repair Engineer to join a small technical team working on complex repair projects. You will be involved from the development stage through to delivery, taking responsibility for work scope planning, documentation, drawings and tooling design along the way.
Day to day, the role involves:
- Developing and implementing repair work scopes
- Producing engineering documentation, drawings and tooling designs
- Working within a gated NPI process
- Supporting customers, suppliers and internal teams on technical matters
- Driving improvement activity across safety, quality, delivery and cost
To be considered, you will need solid experience in repair, manufacturing or design engineering, along with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles. CAD capability and MS Office proficiency are expected. You will also need to be organised enough to handle several projects at once without dropping the ball on any of them.
A degree in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred, though equivalent hands-on experience will be considered seriously. This is a role for someone who is technically curious and takes quality personally. If that sounds like you, it is worth a conversation.
