You’ll be the number two in the business, leading a team of around 12 people including warehouse staff and drivers, and working directly alongside the Site Director to drive the operation forward.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- O Licence compliance for a small vehicle fleet, including audits every six months and routine servicing obligations
- Route planning across two internal vehicles, with smart outsourcing decisions on remaining deliveries to manage courier costs without compromising service
- Import and export movements between Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland using the Trader Support Service (TSS)
- Full Health and Safety ownership, including annual audits and staff training coordination
- On site equipment management, waste handling, recycling processes, and associated tax obligations
- Operational cost control across the depot
- Leading and developing a team of warehouse staff and drivers
What we need from you:
- Hands on experience managing warehouse and distribution operations
- Practical O Licence and fleet compliance experience (you don’t need to have been the licence holder, but you should be familiar with the licence requirements)
- Proven ability to manage courier relationships and control delivery costs
- Familiarity with TSS for cross-border movements
- Strong Health and Safety knowledge
- Organised, cost aware, and comfortable owning a busy operation end to end
