We understand our customers' need for service excellence and are committed to it. Canlan Ice Sports is currently looking for an Ice Maintenance Person (non-ticketed). This role is currently vacant.
Rate of Pay: $25.75-$28.12/hour
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes
- Responsible for Ice Maintenance tasks including:
- Ice Resurfacer operation
- Edger operation
- Ice depth measurement
- Ice chopping/spudding
- Levelling the Ice
- Ice Painting
- Dasher Board system repair
- Arena Glass replacement
- Hockey net refurbishment
Qualifications And Education:
- Completed high school education or equivalent (preferred)
- Valid driver's license (preferred)
- Must be available from 4:30pm - 12:00am
Abilities, Attributes And Experience:
- Previous experience, training and operation of ice resurfacing equipment
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends)
- Approachable and team oriented with great communication skills
- Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude (preferred)
- Trade or Janitorial experience is an advantage
- Organised, self-motivated and proactive
