Canlan is currently looking for a customer service focused Host to join our team. The Host is the forefront of the restaurant, and one of the busiest areas, so if you are looking to work in a dynamic environment - we look forward to hearing from you!

Responsibilities

  • Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile & eye contact
  • Make/coordinate reservations for guests
  • Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide excellent service
  • Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas
  • Maintain a waitlist and provide accurate wait times
  • Perform opening and closing duties
  • Other administrative duties relating to the restaurant
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Experience

  • Previous restaurant experience is preferred, although not required
  • Enthusiastic and welcoming personality; a natural leader
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanour
  • Strong sense of teamwork
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Open availability, including weekends
