Canlan Sports is currently looking for a Janitor worker
Rate of Pay: $15.50-$16.75/hour
Job Summary
We are currently looking for a pro-active janitor that is a hands-on individual who will perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties to ensure the overall upkeep of the sports complex and surrounding grounds. Their primary responsibilities include cleaning and performing small repairs.

Responsibilities
- Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes
- Ensure that entrances, grounds, and parking lot are kept clean, clear and safe
- Property and grounds cleanup
- Grass cutting and edging
- Seasonal snow and debris removal
- Maintain appropriate checklists, records and reports with respect to: window cleanliness
- Parking lot and property cleaning checklist
- Perform vacuuming, auto scrubbing, waxing and buffing in line with established floor care procedures
- Assist with minor maintenance as required
- Assist in ice maintenance during peak periods, short staffing or as required
Education and Knowledge Requirements
- Completed high school education or equivalent is an asset
- Valid driver’s license an asset
- Building Service Worker Certificate (BC)
- Previous experience as a commercial buildings janitor (preferred)
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends and call outs)
- Approachable and team oriented with great communication skills (verbal and written)
