Join our dynamic team as a Canine Rehabilitation Specialist, now with new Level 4 Hydrotherapy qualifications. In this energetic role, you will be at the forefront of canine recovery and wellness, combining your passion for animal care with advanced hydrotherapy, K Laser, and Physio techniques. As we are a referral-only centre, you will work closely with veterinary professionals and pet owners to develop personalized rehabilitation plans that enhance mobility, reduce pain, and improve the overall quality of life for dogs recovering from injury or surgery. Duties
- Perform canine hydrotherapy sessions utilizing our hydrotherapy and rehabilitation equipment, ensuring safe and effective treatment for each dog.
- Assist in developing and implementing tailored rehabilitation programs.
- Handle dogs with compassion and confidence, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout therapy sessions.
- Support veterinary staff by monitoring patient progress, recording treatment outcomes, and adjusting protocols as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized therapy environment, including equipment sterilization and water quality management.
- Educate pet owners on at-home exercises and ongoing care to support recovery outside of therapy sessions.
Ideal Requirements
- Ideally Level 4 Hydrotherapy qualification with a strong understanding of hydrotherapy principles and techniques.
- Experience working with dogs in veterinary or animal care settings, including veterinary technician or assistant roles.
- Knowledge of dog training, handling, restraint, and pet care best practices.
- Prior experience in veterinary clinics or animal hospitals is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in animal handling and therapy setup.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with veterinary teams and pet owners.
- Passion for animal welfare with a proactive attitude towards learning new rehabilitation methods.
Possible Investment Opportunity
For successful applicants that don't hold an existing hydrotherapy qualification, Canine Health and Hydro may invest in the costs related to this. This would suit existing veterinary physiotherapists or RVNs who wish to extend their skills and qualifications using our centre, clients, and investment.
