Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care and service to our furry clients. As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of dogs during their walks, while also maintaining positive relationships with pet owners.
Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Maintain clear communication with pet owners and Senior staff regarding the dog\’s behaviour and any concerns that may arise during walks.
- Ensure that all dogs are properly leashed and supervised during outings, this includes inter-dog interactions and behaviour.
- Manage heavy lifting when necessary, such as assisting larger dogs or carrying supplies.
- Keep accurate records of each dog\’s walking schedule and any special instructions from owners.
- Uphold a high standard of cleanliness by cleaning up after dogs during walks, as well as cleaning off and drying dogs before their return journey home.
Qualifications
- Previous dog experience is highly desirable but not essential.
- Strong background in animal care with a genuine love for dogs is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
- Ability to manage heavy lifting when required, ensuring the safety of both the dog and the walker.
- Good physical fitness to handle the demands of walking multiple dogs throughout the day.
- Reliable transportation to travel between clients\’ homes effectively. Use of company vehicle is offered, however, you must have a full, clean driving licence, and must be legally allowed to drive the vehicle (full and relevant insurance).
