Key Responsibilities
- To be an inspirational,enthusiasticand nurturing sports coach, helping children of all ages and abilities enjoysport.
- To lead on specificrugbytrainingsessions, planning practicesto ensure engaging sessions for pupils of all abilities, andsupporting staff development whereappropriate.
- Tosupport the development ofsession plans for all levels and age groups of players, ensuring a clear curriculum forrugbyat Dumpton that progressespupilsskills and technical and tactical development.
- Be available to coach and refereefixtures and tournamentswhere possible
- Select teams for matches and write match reports following fixtures.
- Have responsibility for the use and upkeep ofRugbysports equipment.
- Attendrelevantstaff meetings and seek continual professional development in all matters affecting work.
- To actively promote theBe Kind and Aim High valuesand vision of the school.
- Be aware of and support equal opportunities for all pupils.
- Establish constructive relationships and communication withparents
- Toprovidean emergency capability and administer first aid as and whenrequired.
- Assistwith the organisation,preparationand supervisionoffixtures,tournamentsand sporting events.
- Promote positive sportsmanship, teamwork,resilienceand pupil wellbeing through participation.
- Any other duties asdeemedappropriate bythe Head for general and specific professional duties.
- To workin accordance withDumpton School policies.
- To understand Safeguarding Children and report any concerns or observations to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

- Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
- Refereeing qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Ability to organise and deliver engaging coaching sessions across a range of abilities and age groups.
- Enthusiasm and a positive approach to pupil development.
