We have an exciting opportunity within our Theatre department who are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Theatre & AV Technician.
About the role:
You will join on a full time, permanent basis (40 hours per week). The Post-holder will be responsible for the smooth running of technical elements of events across the college site. Specifically, from a Lighting, Sound and Video perspective but also the ability to assist in other areas of technical setup including Staging builds, Carpentry and as Stage Manager.

Key responsibilities (Including but not limited to; see job description for full requirements):
- Carry out all duties associated with the getting in, running and getting out of all college events, specially from a Lighting, Sound and Video perspective but with the ability to cover all areas on smaller events.
- Operating Sound, Video & Lighting Equipment and undertaking Stage Management responsibilities for shows and events.
- Installing cameras and associated video equipment for shows and events making sure the right equipment is used dependant on the show.
- Stage Managing shows and events across all performance spaces across the college site.
Person Specification
The successful incumbent must have:
- At least 2+ years in similar role
- Experience setting up and operating Sound & Video equipment for theatre shows as well as conferencing and events.
- Experience operating analogue and digital sound desks (Digico SD series and Yamaha LS9)
- Experience setting up and operating Video equipment for theatre shows as well as conferencing and events.
