Located in Crowthorne, Berkshire, with train and bus links providing easy access to transport connections, the College offers an exceptional environment in which technical expertise and a passion for design can thrive. The DET Technician plays a key role in ensuring that our workshops, classrooms and specialist spaces remain safe, well-resourced and full of possibilities for pupils and staff alike.

Responsibilities

Working on a full time (8.00am - 6.00pm Mon-Fri and Sat 8.30 - 1.00pm), Term time plus (37 weeks per year) contract, this role is central to the smooth running of the department, supporting teachers in delivering engaging practical lessons and helping to maintain high-quality facilities and equipment. You will contribute to the preparation of materials, the organisation of workshop spaces and the safe operation of tools and machinery. Alongside hands-on workshop support, the role also offers opportunities to develop skills in digital manufacturing and specialist equipment, enabling you to grow your technical capability within a forward-looking STE Faculty.
