Role Overview
The Agile Delivery Manager will lead the incremental delivery of a consumer-facing mobile streaming application. The platform currently supports iOS and Android. This role is accountable for day-to-day Agile delivery, managing complex dependencies with clients and third-party partners, and ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery aligned to the delivery roadmap. The Agile Delivery Manager works closely with the Product Owner, iOS & Android engineering teams, and client stakeholders to align scope, manage expectations, surface risks early, and continuously improve delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- Delivery & Execution
- Own end-to-end delivery across our iOS & Android Agile teams
- Manage day-to-day delivery activities to ensure milestones, commitments, and release targets are met
- Facilitate and run Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning
- Ensure delivery remains aligned to agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards
- Drive and support the QA UI Automation initiative, helping establish structure, milestones, and delivery ownership
- Actively manage dependencies across teams, client stakeholders, and multiple third-party vendors
- Identify delivery risks early and clearly articulate impact, mitigation options, and trade-offs
- Proactively escalate risks and blockers internally and with the client, ensuring transparency and timely decision
- Controls
- Track and manage external constraints that could impact release readiness (app store approvals, SDK updates, platform changes)
- Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as a primary delivery contact for client stakeholders, providing clear communication on progress, risks, and dependencies
- Manage stakeholder expectations on scope, timelines, and delivery trade-offs
- Support structured decision-making by presenting options, impacts, and recommendations
- Build strong, trusted relationships across product, engineering, client, and third-party teams
- Product Owner Support
- Partner closely with the Product Owner to support backlog readiness, prioritisation, and refinement
- Help translate product goals and roadmap priorities into realistic delivery plans
- Ensure stories are well-defined, ready, dependencies are understood, and teams are set up for success
- Enable the Product Owner to focus on value and outcomes by owning delivery mechanics
- Define and track meaningful delivery metrics (e.g. velocity, predictability, goals, quality)
- Produce clear, concise delivery reporting for internal leadership and client stakeholders
- Use data and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement across teams
- Promote a culture of learning, transparency, and sustainable delivery pace
- Agile Ways of Working
- Champion pragmatic Agile practices tailored to mobile and platform-based product delivery
- Balance Scrum and Kanban approaches as appropriate for feature development, defects, and operational work
- Encourage collaboration, ownership, and accountability across teams
- Continuously improve Agile maturity without introducing unnecessary process overhead
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as an Agile Delivery Manager, Delivery Lead, or similar role in digital or mobile product delivery
- Strong experience managing complex dependencies across clients and third-party partners
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations and navigate scope, timeline, and priority trade-offs
- Strong risk identification and mitigation skills, with confidence in escalating issues early
- Hands-on experience running Agile ceremonies and managing day-to-day delivery
- Experience supporting Product Owners in fast-paced product environments
- Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience delivering consumer-facing mobile applications, ideally extracted or streaming platforms
- Familiarity with iOS, Android, and RESTful TV ecosystems (Apple TV, Android TV)
- Experience working with app store release processes and platform constraints
- Exposure to analytics, content delivery, DRM, or streaming technologies
- Experience delivering post-launch phases with live products
