They are seeking an experienced Environmental & Compliance Manager to take ownership of all environmental and regulatory compliance across their site operations.
This is a key leadership role within the local management team, ensuring the business not only meets its legal obligations but stays ahead of evolving legislationsupporting sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of environmental compliance and ensure full adherence to UK environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
Manage environmental permitting, planning requirements, water discharge consents, and waste shipment documentation and notifications.
Proactively monitor and interpret regulatory changes, ensuring the business remains compliant and commercially competitive.
Act as a core member of the site leadership team Maintain and develop integrated management systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
Support operational decision-making by providing clear, accurate compliance and environmental reporting.
About You
Strong background in environmental compliance within the waste management, metals, or resource recovery sectors.
In-depth knowledge of Environmental Permitting Regulations and associated UK environmental legislation.
Experience managing regulatory submissions including permits, water discharge consents, and waste shipment documentation.
Familiarity with ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001).
Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively across operational and leadership teams.
Proactive and forward-thinking, with the ability to anticipate regulatory change and its impact on the business.
