Technical Engineering Manager South East/London £-Excellent I am working with a leading waste resource company who have a new role available within their operations team. Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for planning, designing and overseeing projects to improve the processing of waste materials. Some of your responsibilities as Technical Engineering Manager will include but not be limited to; * Providing Engineering and technical support to the waste business; Design, implement and refine production process machinery for the processing of waste materials ; Oversee projects from concept to commissioning; Assist in the creation and management of budgets; Forge and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers, attend trade shows and conferences, organising site visits to suppliers’ facilities; Advocate on behalf of team members by securing adequate capex ; Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including department heads; Maintain high levels of expertise in the sector; Assure processes developed meet qualify and safety compliance guidelines. In order to be considered for the role you will have/be; * Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience; A recognised Project Management qualification; Experience of the waste management industry with extensive knowledge of mechanical processing and sorting plants such as shredders, screeners and MRF’s; Solid knowledge of safety regulations such at LOLER and PUWER; Technical Report Writing; Experience in automation is also essential; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Fully conversant with the use of MS Office, MS Project and CAD Packages
