You will be joining a growing software business where developers have real ownership over what they build. Working closely with senior engineers, product managers, and designers, you will help develop and maintain scalable web applications while contributing to technical decisions and best practices. Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and improve PHP-based web applications
- Work with modern PHP frameworks (Laravel / Symfony or similar)
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs
- Write clean, secure, and maintainable code
- Collaborate closely with product, UX/UI, and QA teams
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards
- Debug, optimise, and enhance existing systems
- Support releases and ongoing platform improvements
- 3β5 years' commercial experience as a PHP Developer
- Strong experience with a modern PHP framework (Laravel preferred)
- Solid understanding of OOP principles and MVC architecture
- Experience working with MySQL or other relational databases
- Comfortable using Git and version control
- Experience working with APIs
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Frontend experience (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
- Experience with modern JS frameworks (Vue, React)
- Familiarity with Docker or containerised environments
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with automated testing or CI/CD
