As a key leader within our Global Data Function, you will define the strategy, roadmap, and vision for the Data Ecosystem, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of Analytics, AI, and Integration across the organization. Responsibilities:- Define Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and communicate a clear vision for the Data Ecosystem, aligning strategic goals with business objectives and market opportunities.
- Engage Stakeholders: Collaborate with business, software engineering, architecture, and data teams to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and manage expectations.
- Foster Strategic Partnerships: Work with third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery and gain fresh perspectives.
- Lead Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Promote Data Culture: Support the Data Engineering Chapter by resolving technical blockers and embedding best practices in the roadmap.
- Ensure Compliance: Embed data governance and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) into the ecosystem design.
- Optimize Performance: Monitor product performance, conduct reviews, and implement enhancements based on data-driven insights.
- Manage Backlogs: Own and refine the product backlog, prioritizing features and improvements based on business value and technical needs.
- Drive Cost Optimization: Establish a value-driven FinOps framework in collaboration with engineering, finance, and business teams.
- Familiarity with GCP data and analytics services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, IAM, monitoring).
- Familiarity with Databricks and/or Snowflake in federated enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of modern data architectures, including Data Mesh, event-driven patterns, and API-based data products.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies like AI and Machine Learning.
- Strong grasp of commercial strategies, market trends, and governance frameworks.
- Ability to interpret complex datasets to inform decisions and derive actionable insights.
- Proven experience delivering regulated, cloud-based data platforms.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies, backlog management, and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong vendor and partner management skills.
- Knowledge or experience within financial services / regulated industry.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence to support geographically distributed teams.
