Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience supporting or implementing infrastructure solutions in enterprise or mid-sized environments.
- A deep understanding of Infrastructure.
- Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware and/or Hyper-V.
- Good understanding of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Understanding of networking concepts including switching, routing, wireless networking, and network security.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery technologies, ideally including Veeam.
- Familiarity with PowerShell or other scripting and automation tools would be advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Relevant certifications (or a willingness to work towards them) such as Microsoft, VMware, or networking certifications.
- A proactive approach to learning and developing a career in infrastructure consultancy.
What will you be doing?
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure solutions for customers.
- Assist with infrastructure deployments, migrations, upgrades, and modernisation projects under the guidance of senior consultants.
- Build and support virtualisation, server, networking, and Microsoft infrastructure platforms.
- Help configure and maintain core infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and backup solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues across infrastructure, networking, and end-user computing environments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, and customer handover materials.
- Work closely with project teams, service teams, vendors, and customers to deliver successful outcomes.
- Develop your technical and consultancy skills through hands-on project work, mentoring, and industry training.
