Candour Talent are recruiting a Financial Controller to join their client’s team in the Swansea area.

  • Employment Type: Full Time/Permanent
  • Working Hours: 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, 30 mins lunch break
  • Salary: Negotiable DOE

Our client is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team in the Swansea area. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will join a manufacturing business that has experienced steady and sustained growth. You will be responsible for a small team and play a pivotal role in developing and implementing processes and procedures following the introduction of a new ERP system. This is an excellent opportunity, which comes with a range of benefits and long-term development.

The Role:

  • Take an active part in designing how the new ERP will operate
  • Understand and update existing processes
  • Improve existing reporting routine and develop new reporting processes
  • Design and implement Budgeting and Forecasting routines
  • Train and coach existing team members on new ways of working in ERP
  • Work with the existing finance team to streamline financial reporting timetables
  • Work with wider teams to develop and improve KPI reporting & accuracy
  • Help develop existing team members
  • Take an active part within the wider finance team during busy periods e.g. year end
  • Ad-hoc reconciliations and analysis

The Ideal Candidate:

  • ACCA / CIMA / ACA or QBE
  • Experience of working in a FMCG Manufacturing environment
  • Experience of implementing new IT systems & processes
  • Experience of change management
  • Experience of people management and team development
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Logical and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
